Objects of any size can be surveyed efficiently with the aid of 3D laser scanning.

Evaluation and modelling of the 3D laser scan data

The result of an as-built survey is usually a so-called scatter plot consisting of more than 100 million single points. The measured 3D coordinates of the scatter plot can be taken as the basis for the documentation or a 2D drawing update. Likewise, subsequent 3D modelling is often desired. The 3D model then represents the actual state of the object precisely and completely.

With the aid of the 3D model, further evaluations such as clash detection or the planning and calculation of new plant components can be carried out.

The scanning results can be represented as photos if necessary and viewed and evaluated simply using free tools.
